Offline to IRL Experiences with Camp Meets Bagel

Escaped the city for a quick getaway as I attended this weekend’s festivities with the popular online dating app, Coffee Meets Bagel. CMB officially launched its exciting new initiative, CMB Experiences where online conversations become a reality with unique, real-world events and spaces.

With CMB Experiences, members (and non-members) can engage in a specially curated, novel experience together that inspires them to share, authentically connect, and of course have fun.

For the very first CMB Experience in the US, Coffee Meets Bagel collaborated with Camp No Counselors (aka adult campgrounds) with an epic series of adventures like kickball, water activities, “Battle of the Bagels,” bonfires, arts and crafts, and even a mini concert series with Sofar Sounds.

I had the awesome opportunity to attend with a couple of my friends for the all-inclusive sleepaway camp for adults. It was held at Indian Head Camp in Equinunk, Pennsylvania – just a couple hours away from NYC.

About 300 Coffee Meets Bagelers took over the camp and united over a fun-filled weekend that featured sports, arts & crafts activities, open bars, delicious meals, and much more.

Additional activities were designed to foster friendship & connections included (but were not limited to): group color wars and redefining the meaning of “trust fall” on the giant swing at the ropes course, and even deep fireside chats to take conversations to the next level and break down barriers.

Night one consisted of a welcome bonfire with booze, music, pizza, and classic s’mores to get the festivities started. The first night truly set the precedent for the rest of the weekend as that was the official night friendships and connections were brought to surface.

Needless to say, the food was a lot better than what you would typically picture “camp food” to be. From taco lunches to gyros and BBQs and a fully decked salad bar, there was something for every taste bud, oh and of course endless supplies of coffee thanks to Forto Coffee. On the last night, there were exclusive performances from Sofar sounds.
